Foam board printing: indoor displays and signage

Materials

When to choose foam board printing

Foam board is the lightest and most affordable substrate for indoor signage. If you need a short-term piece that is easy to transport and well finished, it is the one to choose.

Printed foam board for indoor signage

Posters, information panels and graphics for offices, shops and indoor events. A professional finish at a very reasonable cost, in 3, 5 and 10 mm thicknesses.
Foam PVC

Foam PVC printing: advantages over standard foam board

Foam PVC is a low-density foamed PVC, slightly heavier than foam board but also tougher. It is worth it when the piece will be used repeatedly or needs CNC cutting.

Greater rigidity and durability for repeated use

Foam PVC copes better with moisture, knocks and time. It is our recommendation for displays that are set up and taken down at several trade fairs, or for signs that will be on show for months.

Matt, gloss and laminated finishes available

Choose a matt, gloss or laminated finish depending on the look you want. Lamination protects the print from scuffs and makes it easier to clean.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about foam board printing

We work with 3, 5 and 10 mm foam board. 5 mm is the most common for standard signs, while 10 mm offers extra rigidity for displays and free-standing pieces.

Foam board (foam core) has a polystyrene foam core between two layers of paper or card, which makes it very light but less resistant to moisture. Foam PVC (low-density foamed PVC) is more rigid, more durable and suitable for CNC cutting.

No. Foam board is designed for indoor use; moisture and wind damage it quickly. For outdoor use we recommend Forex, aluminium dibond or banner printing.

Yes. We make straight and curved cuts in all standard and custom sizes. For complex shapes (cut-outs, tabbed displays, models) we use a high-precision CNC cutter.

Standard orders usually take 24–48 hours after artwork approval. Large runs or complex cuts may take 72 hours. A 24-hour rush service is available on request.
